پاکستان کی نئِ مادر ملت

بدقسمت پاکستانیو مبارک ہو۔ محترمہ فاطمہ جناح کی وفات کے بعد ہم قوم کی ماں سے محروم ہو گئے تھے اور اس محرومی نے ہمارے لئے زندگی کو بہت دشوار کر دیا تھا مگر پھر قسمت نے یاوری کی اور دختر مشرق نے راولپنڈی کے لیاقت باغ میں اپنی جان کا نذرانہ پیش کر کے پاکستان کے لئے ایک ‘نئِ مادر ملت’ تخلیق کر دی جس کی وجہ سے آج پورا پاکستان {آپ پقیناً جانتے ہوں گے کہ اس پاکستان سے میرا کیا مطلب ہے۔ جی ہاںں وہی پاکستان جو مشرف کا ‘سب سے پہلے’ تھا اور آصف زرداری کا ‘سب سے آخری’ ہے } رنگین ہے کم از کم ہورڈنگز اور اخبارات تک تو ہے ہی۔ بہرحال ہمارے محکمہ ڈاک کے توسط سے آج ایک ‘نئی مادر ملت’ تخلیق پا چکی ہے جو ظاہر ہے کچھ عرصہ تک ‘دختر ملت’ رہے گی مگر پھر ہماری ضرورت کو سمجھتے ہوئے خود ہے مادر ملت کے سنگھاسن پر براجمان ہو جائے گی۔ پرویز مشرف نے تو بدبخت پاکستانیوں کی خون پسینے کی کمائی سے اپنے بیٹے کے لئَ ایک ائیر لائن اوراربوں روپوں کے اثاثہ جات کی حامل سرمایہ کار کمپنی ہی تخلیق کی تھی مگر زرداری تو اسی خرچے پر مادر ملت تخلیق کرنے پر تل گیا ہے

یقیناً آپ جانتے ہوں گے کہ" جرآت" کسے کہتے ہیں

اگر پاکستان کا 'نیلسن منڈیلا'  المعروف مسٹر ٹین پرسنٹ غزہ کے اس بچے کی بے باک نگاہوں کو دیکھ لے تو کیری لوگر بل کے بغیر بھی زندہ رہنے کے مزے سے آشنا ہو سکتا ہے

کیری لوگر اور پریسلر جیسے  بلوں سے اس خودساختہ بابائے قوم اور اس کے کاسہء لیسوں کو سب کچھ مل جائے گا مگر نہیں ملے گی تو وہ  سوغات جسے 'غیرت' کہا جاتا ہے۔ اور ویسے بھی انہیں اس کی ضرورت نہیں۔ اس کے بغیر ہی وہ مزے میں ہیں

Blogging is a revolutionary bi-product of World Wide Web. Surely it will not have been even assumed by CERN what their technique of netting the world in a web will do in future. Indeed www was a wonderful idea and now it has been turned into a magic world. Do you have an idea about the significant role of this in revolutionizing personal, social, economical and political lives of this world? Might be you would have but I do not.

Blogging is one of the activity which is being performed in a tremendous number. Millions of people are blogging and billions of pages are being added to www in short span of times.

I want to share some line about wonderful software ‘Windows Live Writer’ which I have started using just few weeks back. I was facing a little difficulty in maintaining my blog by using the browser but WLW has changed this dramatically for me. Now I am working in environment of MS Word and posting, deleting, editing, transferring and what ever I want to do, just from here on my blogs. It is so easy, nice and convenient.

Free to download, automatic to be installed and easy in use, Windows Live Writer is a wonderful gift for bloggers from MS. If you are also writing blogs, just try this and surely you will agree with me that ‘iT iS aMAZING’

Great Game of Web Browsers ,,,

Years back when I was introduced to WWW,  Microsoft was enjoying the monopoly of Internet Browsers. Close to 80% of internet users were using this browser for surfing internet. I was also one of them. But a number of times I suffered some severe kind of problems. The most significant was of internet security. This browser had a great work but sometimes stuck to itself, sometime bombarded by spywares and malwares,  sometime unable to wok things out in correct way and so on. As this was backed by a software producing giant, Microsoft, so despite of user dissatisfaction it kept going. new features were continually added and efficiency made better but there was a dire need of a browser which can challenge her monopoly and serve in a bit better.

I forget to tell about Netscape Navigator, which was taking her last breaths in those days. Netscape was the earliest browser provided access to world wide web but when I began, it was at the dyeing end. It was out for a long time but formally it was grounded in current year.

When internet surfers were looking for a better replacement of Internet Explorer, Mozilla jumps in and commissions Firefox. This was a great experience. Security, friendly in use and efficiency were the key

elements which turned this browser as the closest contender of IE. It was amazing and unexpected too, that just in 4 years it was downloaded one billion times and also a gunnies' world record holder of most downloads in shortest time. Firefox grabbed a considerable share of browsing world from IE. In a very short time an estimated 30-35% of users started using this for browsing internet. This share is continually expending and it is expected the latest version, which is about to launch, will speedup the popularity of Firefox.

It was great to see the tussle between Internet Explorer & Mozilla Firefox but emerging super power of computer world ;Google; cannot wait for long just to see the tussle. Google decided to become the part of it launched its own browser ‘Chrome’. In fact Google Chrome is the

wonderful web browser with elegant features. Within few months of its launch now it is claiming almost 5% share of browsers market. This  share is meager now but just imagine how much it will have after 5 years as of Firefox and 15 years as of IE. The most attractive features for a common user, in my opinion, are of storing recently and most visited sites in thumbnails form at the front page, smart search and secure browsing. Let see what will happen in near future as Microsoft cannot afford to loose her share and Mozilla want to gain a bit more.

What about Opera !! Opera is more a sharing website instead of being a web browser. Although a

significant number of internet users prefer Opera over all  others but this number lies in the 5% of which all other browsers are sharing except IE & Firefox. The more of its use is a sharing and networking site with some considerably important features. It is far beyond perception that it will have an ambition of becoming the part of tussle going on among IE, Firefox and Chrome.

The Safari,,, it wasn’t much known even prior to the launch of Iphone. Being a default browser of Iphone, it has gain as much popularity as the Iphone has. In fact Safari doesn’t have that much popularity and importance which it deserve. Being a product of a big company like Apple, it should be a close competitor of IE or Firefox but it isn’t. Apple claims it is the fastest browser of the world but surely it is not fastest for Windows users (+90% of all computer users in the world), might be for Mac users. If you are the one with Mac operating system in your PC you can enjoy. Even if you are not a Mac user, once try it. You will be surprised with its history memorizing and front end work. At the end Safari can be proved a wonderful experience for the users.

The World, Maxthon, Tecent Traveler etc. ,,, you can download, install and experience. If you find any of them better as compared to front runner, keep using. Have a nice day.

This time “Green”

Studying revolutions or sometime being part of any of that, seams magical. Indeed it has great feelings to be the part of efforts to change the rotation of clock. Pink, indigo, red and purple in Georgia, Ukraine & Kirghizstan etc.  have a wonderful record but this time which worked was “Green” and it was in an Islamic Republic. It was really surprising to see a sitting leader with great reputation among the common folk facing a tough time from gREENERS. Prior to recent Iranian elections it was considered that Mr. Ahmadi Najad will face a tough time in Tehran and some other urban localities by his rivals but he was at sweeping position in rural areas. The predictions by western media were bit different and Mosavi was declared as the closest contender although he was not.

 

At the end, results were almost the same which were predicted by unbiased ‘hawk eyes’. Ahmadi Najad swept and re-elected as president. Unfortunately ‘young blood’, particularly in Tehran, was not ready to accept the result and they kicked-off a massive agitation campaign which was far furious and aggressive than the election campaign. For the first time Iranian supreme leadership faced a tough time by youngsters. This was fully supported by western media, anti-Islamic sentiment of neighboring countries and even by some consulates of different countries situated in Iran.

I think victory of Ahmadi Najad or defeat of ‘green revolutionaries’ is not much important. The most significant element was the aggression of Iranian youth. They were all set to change the political scenario of Iran if would have been found a little support from rural areas. Throughout the election campaign and in post election scenario young blood was the most visible difference between Najad & Mosvi. Although they could not achieve their goals yet they have proved themselves as the real change agents in near future of Iran.

They successfully turned Tehran into ‘Green’ although some more efforts are needed to turn Iran either into Green or pink.

اتفاقات کے نتیجے میں ملنے والی 20ٹونٹی ورلڈ کپ کی فتح کے بعد ہمیشہ بڑ بولنے  والے اس کردار نے اپنے آپ کو کرکٹ کی تاریخ کے عظیم کھلاڑی عمران خان سے تشبیہہ دینے میں ذرا بھر شرم محسوس نہیں کی۔ کیا پدی اور کیا پدی کا شوربہ۔ عمران خان جیسا لیجنڈری تاریخ میں کبھی کبھار پیدا ہوتا ہے۔ وہ کرکٹ کے آل ٹائم گریٹ کھلاڑیوں سے میں ایک تھا جو کرکٹ کی ۲ سو سالہ تاریخ میں چند ایک ہی ہوئے ہیں۔ کیا یہ حیرت انگیز نہیں کہ دنیا جسے اوسط درجے کا کھلاڑی بھی تسلیم نہیں کرتی وہ اپنا موازنہ عمران خان کے ساتھ کرکے سر گیری سوبرز، سر ڈان بریڈ مین اور سر رچرڈ ہیڈلے کی صف میں کھڑا ہونا چاہتا جن میں سے ہر ایک صرف کھلاڑی نہیں اپنی ذات میں پورا کھیل تھا۔ مردان کے اس پٹھان زادے کا خیال تھا کہ یہ اس کی کرشماتی شخصیت کا فیض تھا جس نے اوسط درجے کی پاکستانی ٹیم کو بین الاقوامی چیمپئین بنا دیاہے حلانکہ دنیا جانتی ہے کہ ایسا نہیں تھا۔ یہ تو مقدر کا ایسا پھیر آیا کہ آسٹریلیا، جنوبی افریقہ اور انڈیا گیم سے باہر ہو گئے اور پاکستان کو فتح حاصل ہوگئ۔  کرکٹ کے گروٹونٹی 20 کو کرکٹ ہی تسلیم کرنے میں ہچکچاہٹ کا مظاہرہ کر رہے ہیں تاہم اگر اس امر سے قطع نظر بیس اورز کے اتفاقات نے پاکستان کو اس فارمیٹ میں سرخروبھی کر دیا مگر فی الحقیقت جو کچھ اس کے بعد ہوا وہ اس گدھے کے قصے سے حیران کن مماثلت رکھتا ہے جس نے کہیں سے مل جانے والی شیر کی کھال اوڑھ کرسانڈھ کا شکار کرنے کی کوشش کی تھی اور ظاہر ہے انجام توواضح تھا جس سے وہ دوچار ہوا۔

یونس خان نامی اس شخص کے لئے، جو کبھی کبھی حد درجہ مسخرے پن کا مظاہرہ کرتا ہے،بین الاقوامی کرکٹ تک رسائی ہی عظیم کارنامہ ہوتی مگر مقدر نے اسے کشتی کا ناخدا بنا دیا۔ کیا یہ عجیب منظر نہیں کہ ایک ایسا کھلاڑی جس کی کرکٹ چند گنے چنے شارٹس تک محدود ہے اور وہ چند بڑی اننگز کھیلنے کے باوجود وہ اول درجے کے کرکٹرز میں شمار نہیں کیا جاتا، بدقسمت پاکستانی  ٹیم کا کپتان مقرر ہے۔ کیا قحط الرجال اسی کو نہیں کہتے ؟

سری لنکا کے ہاتھوں اوپر تلے مسلسل شکستوں سے دوچار ہونے کے باوجود اس کے بڑ بولے پن میں کوئی فرق نہیں آیا۔ ناقص ترین کھیل کی وجہ سے ہونے والی ٹیسٹ اور ون ڈے سیریز کی شکستوں کو قسمت کا لکھا قرار دے کر شاید وہ اپنے ضمیر کے سامنے تو سرخرو ہو سکے مگر فی الحقیقت دنیا کے سامنے نہیں ہو سکتا۔

یونس خان صاحب ، عمران خان کا تو تذکرہ ہی کیا، اس کے بعد بھی ایک لمبی لائین ہے ، کرکٹ کے معیارات طے کرنے والوں کی۔ آپ کا نمبر تو جاوید میانداد، انضمام الحق، وسیم اکرم ، وقار یونس بلکہ محمد یوسف کے بھِی بعد کہیں آتا ہے جبکہ دنیا میں سٹیوواہ، برائن لارا، سچن ٹنڈولکر اورجے سوریار جیسے عظیم بلے باز جبکہ شین وارن، گلین میگرا اور کوٹنی والش سے گیند باز کئی ایک ہو گزرے ہیں اور کئی آج بھی دنیا کی نگاہوں کو خیرہ کرنے کے لئے میدان میں جلوہ دکھا رہے ہوتے ہیں۔

oHHH the Hell….Banazir

For the past 10 months poor Pakistanis have listen and seen nothing but the bluffing of Mr. 10% and company’s regarding the assassinated ‘pinky’ of Oxford. What the hell she had done for Pakistan or Pakistanis that every stupid is trying to sell her upon us.

Does this country was created by Banazir or His father or it was created by someone else? If it was founded by great Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali, than how can Banazir or anyone else replace the great Quaid over the currency of Pakistan!!

It is to be condemed that PPP government has tried her worst by issuing a coin of 10 rupees with picture of assisinated Banazir instead of Great Quaid-e-Azam.

We are suppose to refuse using this coin.

5 Important Lessons

First Important Lesson

During my second month of college, our professor
Gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student
And had breezed through the questions until I read
The last one:

" What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?"
Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the
Cleaning woman several times. She was tall,
Dark-haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name?

I handed in my paper, leaving the last question
Blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if
The last question would count toward our quiz grade.

" Absolutely," said the professor. “In your careers,
You will meet many people. All are significant.

They Deserve your attention and care, even if all you do
Is smile and say " hello."

I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her
Name was Dorothy.

2. - Second Important Lesson - Pickup in the Rain

One night, at 11:30 p.m., an older African American
Woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway
Trying to endure a lashing rain storm.

Her car had Broken down and she desperately needed a ride.
Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car.

A young white man stopped to help her, generally
Unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960's. The man
Took her to safety, helped her get assistance and
Put her into a taxicab.

She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down his
Address and thanked him. Seven days went by and a
Knock came on the man's door. To his surprise, a
Giant console color TV was delivered to his home.

A Special note was attached.

It read:
" Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway
The other night. The rain drenched not only my
Clothes, but also my spirits. Then you came along.
Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying
Husband's' bedside just before he passed away... God
Bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving
Others."

3 - Third Important Lesson - Always remember those Who serve.

In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less,
A 10-year- old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and
Sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in
Front of him.

" How much is an ice cream sundae?" he asked.

" Fifty cents," replied the waitress.

The little boy pulled is hand out of his pocket and
Studied the coins in it.

" Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?" he inquired.

By now more people were waiting for a table and the
Waitress was growing impatient.

" Thirty-five cents," she brusquely replied.

The little boy again counted his coins.

" I'll have the plain ice cream," he said.

The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on
The table and walked away The boy finished the ice
Cream, paid the cashier and left.

When the waitress Came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the
Table. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish,
Were two nickels and five pennies..

You see, he couldn’t have the sundae, because he had
To have enough left to leave her a tip.

4 - Fourth Important Lesson. - The obstacle in Our Path.

In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a
Roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if
Anyone would remove the huge rock.

Some of the King's' wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by
And simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the
King for not keeping! The roads clear, but none did
Anything about getting the stone out of the way.

Then a peasant came along carrying a load of
Vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the
Peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the
Stone to the side of the road.

After much pushing And straining, he finally succeeded. After the
Peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed
A purse lying in the road where the boulder had
Been.

The purse contained many gold coins and a note
From the King indicating that the gold was for the
Person who removed the boulder from the roadway.

The Peasant learned what many of us never understand!

Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve
Our condition.

5 - Fifth Important Lesson - Giving When it Counts...

Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a
Hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who
Was suffering from a rare & serious disease.

Her only Chance of recovery appeared to be a blood
Transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had
Miraculously survived the same disease and had
Developed the antibodies needed to combat the
Illness.

The doctor explained the situation to her
Little brother, and asked the little boy if he would
Be willing to give his blood to his sister.

I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a
Deep breath and saying, " Yes I'll do it if it will
Save her." As the transfusion progressed, he lay in
Bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did,

Seeing the color returning to her cheek. Then his
Face grew pale and his smile faded.

He looked up at the doctor and asked with a
Trembling voice, " Will I start to die right away".

Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the
Doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his
Sister all of his blood in order to save her.
